Badminton Is the Heartbeat of Malaysian Sport — And Ongmari77 Honours That
Ask any Malaysian which sport is closest to their heart, and many will say badminton without a second thought. This is more than a sport — it is a national identity. From Razif Sidek and Jalani Sidek in the 80s, to Rexy Mainaky and Jalani in the 90s, to Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong in the early 2000s, and right through to the latest generation represented by Lee Zii Jia and Aaron Chia today — Malaysia has always had a prominent name on the world badminton map.
At ongmari77, badminton is not just another sport tacked onto a long list of offerings. It is treated with genuine depth and dedication — with comprehensive markets, competitive odds, and a customer support team that truly understands the nuances of the game. That is why ongmari77 has become the go-to platform for thousands of Malaysian badminton fans who want to be more actively involved in the excitement of every match.
Lee Zii Jia — Malaysia's Hope on the World Stage
Few badminton players captivate the world quite like Lee Zii Jia, with his endlessly entertaining and creative style of play. The Selangor-born shuttler is a rare talent — his trick shots leave crowds in disbelief, his footwork is lightning-quick, and his ability to turn a match around even from the most desperate positions makes him one of the most thrilling players to watch and, most importantly for ongmari77 users, one of the most compelling to bet on.
At ongmari77, markets for Lee Zii Jia matches go well beyond simply picking a winner. You can bet on the number of sets to be played, whether the match ends in straight sets or goes to a deciding third, total points in each set, and even handicap markets that offer better value depending on your read of the player's form on match day.
Aaron Chia & Soh Wooi Yik — Malaysia's Golden Doubles Pair
Men's doubles pair Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik represent one of the proudest achievements in Malaysian badminton history in recent memory. Their bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics — Malaysia's first men's doubles medal at the Games in years — cemented their status as national icons beloved by Malaysians from all walks of life.
For ongmari77 users, this pair is a popular pick for betting across various BWF Super 1000 tournaments such as the All England, Malaysia Open, and Indonesia Open. Their head-to-head record against pairs from China, Indonesia, and Korea provides rich material for in-depth analysis, helping bettors make smarter, data-driven decisions.
Thomas & Uber Cup — Malaysia's Team Pride
If there are two tournaments that ignite Malaysian patriotic spirit more than any other in badminton, it is the Thomas Cup (men's team) and the Uber Cup (women's team). Malaysia has an incredibly rich history in the Thomas Cup — we are among the most decorated nations in the competition, even as the dominance of China and Indonesia in recent decades has posed a formidable challenge.
At ongmari77, Thomas Cup and Uber Cup betting offers exceptional market depth. You can bet not only on the overall tie result between two nations, but also on each individual rubber within the five-rubber series. This means that even if Malaysia is considered the overall underdog, you can still find value in specific individual rubbers — for instance, backing Lee Zii Jia to win the first rubber even if the overall tie is expected to be closely contested.
All England — The Most Anticipated Historic Championship
The All England is the oldest badminton tournament in the world, and every year it ranks among the most anticipated events on the Malaysian sporting calendar. Remember the buzz at Subang Jaya Sports Arena when the All England live broadcast aired late at night? It speaks volumes about how deeply Malaysians are emotionally connected to this tournament. Ongmari77 offers the most comprehensive markets for the All England — from the first round all the way to the final — so you never miss a single betting opportunity throughout the entire championship.
What makes it even more exciting is that ongmari77 also offers in-play betting for All England matches broadcast live. This means you can watch the action unfold in real time and place your bets based on what you actually see — whether the Malaysian player is in top form that day or not. The in-play feature is consistently one of the most popular among serious badminton bettors on ongmari77.
